Costa Ballena Golf - Cádiz
Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club is situated in Rota, Cádiz, on the Atlantic coast of the Costa de la Luz. Designed by José María Olazábal and his team at Integral Golf Design, development began in the mid-1990s.
The course features 27 competition holes, allowing for three different layouts, as well as a 9-hole par-3 course. The layout is predominantly flat and easy to walk, with some holes running parallel to the beach and numerous strategically placed lakes and bunkers.
A magnificent course designed by José María Olazábal, situated beside the Atlantic Ocean, right in the heart of the Costa de la Luz. Its 27 competition holes allow players to enjoy different course combinations, offering a varied experience that can be adapted to players of all levels.
The course is set on virtually flat terrain with gentle undulations, featuring spacious playing areas surrounded by palm trees, olive trees and ficus trees. Some holes run very close to the beach, whilst the numerous strategically placed lakes and bunkers mean every shot must be carefully measured, adding to the course’s challenge. Of particular note is the 16th hole, a spectacular par 3 whose green is surrounded by a lake.
A versatile, strategic and very enjoyable course to play, where golf blends seamlessly with the landscape and the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean.
