Río Real Golf - Málaga
Rio Real Golf is situated in Marbella, Málaga, just a few minutes from the town centre and very close to the Mediterranean. Designed by the renowned Spanish architect Javier Arana and opened in 1965, it features an 18-hole, par-72 course over 6,000 metres in length.
The course follows the course of the river that gives the club its name, crossing it four times before reaching the sea, and combines gentle undulations with lush vegetation comprising pine trees, palm trees, olive trees, cypresses and casuarinas.
One of Marbella’s great golfing classics, designed by Javier Arana and perfectly integrated into a stunning Mediterranean setting. Its 18-hole, par-72 course winds its way across gently sloping terrain, following the course of the Rio Real river until it almost reaches the sea, creating a varied round with a very special character.
Throughout the course, players will find fairways flanked by mature trees, changes in direction, varying elevations and holes overlooking the Mediterranean that offer magnificent views. Its design requires a wide variety of shots and rewards both strategy and precision, keeping players engaged throughout the round.
A historic, elegant and highly entertaining course that combines Javier Arana’s classic design with the natural surroundings and characteristic landscape of the Costa del Sol.
